California, United States - August 14, 2025. Independent game developer Nikola Todorovic today announced that his visceral first-person roguelike, Mortal Sin, will officially leave Steam Early Access and launch in full as Version 1.0 on August 29, 2025. Fans can Wishlist the game now on Steam to be notified when it’s available.
Lauded for its striking visual style and savage melee combat, Mortal Sin is a chaotic, blood-soaked roguelike where skill is power, and overconfidence is death. Players carve through procedurally generated nightmares with brutal melee attacks and flashy, satisfying combos, where every strike matters, and hesitation can be fatal.
Since its Early Access debut in 2023, Todorovic has worked closely with the Mortal Sin community, using their feedback to push the game far beyond its original scope. What began as targeted tweaks quickly became a full-scale transformation with virtually every aspect of the game being rebuilt from the ground up. Levels once made of simple boxy mazes are now richly detailed, complex environments; combat has been overhauled with brand-new animations and improved feel; enemies have been reimagined with enhanced AI and movement; and entire systems, from items and skills to combos and playable classes, have been redesigned to deliver a deeper, more rewarding experience. Currently boasting Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam from thousands of players, Mortal Sin’s V1.0 launch represents not just refinement, but a complete reinvention, with a post-launch roadmap soon to reveal even more content on the way.
