Legendary Action Shooter GunZ: The Duel Returns, Launching Globally on Steam August 13

The remastered release removes pay-to-win elements while delivering upgraded graphics, modernized features, expanded customization, and new content.


Masangsoft announced that GunZ: The Duel, its third-person action shooter, will officially launch worldwide on Steam on August 13, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. PDT / August 14, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. KST. 

GunZ: The Duel is a legendary action title known for its exceptional freedom of movement, including wall-running, acrobatic air combat, and high-speed dashes, as well as its highly technical combat style known as “K-Style.” The game’s long-awaited global return has generated significant anticipation among longtime fans around the world. 
 

■ A Complete Evolution Shaped by Player Feedback
The Steam version has been extensively improved based on feedback collected during several months of global playtests. 

  • Pay-to-Win Elements Removed: Stat advantages tied to character progression and equipment have been removed. Equipment is now purely cosmetic, while weapons have been rebalanced based on weapon type and weight to create a fairer, skill-based combat environment.
     
  • Remastered Graphics: The game’s overall visual quality has been upgraded while preserving the distinctive style and gameplay that made the original GunZ unique.
     
  • Modernized UI and Quality-of-Life Improvements: The user interface has been redesigned to meet modern PC gaming standards. New features include an adjustable FOV slider, improved multikill notifications and sound effects, hit markers, damage vignette effects, and other community-requested improvements.
     
  • Expanded Customization: Hundreds of new outfits and visual effects, including dash effects, have been added, allowing players to create more distinctive and personalized characters.
     
  • New Content: The Steam release will feature new maps, game modes, and equipment items. Masangsoft also plans to actively support official tournaments and community-run competitions.
     
  • Creator and Community Support: Masangsoft will operate a global player community centered around the official Discord server, while integration with Medal.tv will allow players to easily capture and share clips of their most impressive plays. Twitch Drops, which reward viewers for watching participating livestreams, and LUDENUS CREATORS, a dedicated program designed to directly support and foster content creators, will also be available at launch.
