April 3, 2024 – KOG Games, the leading game developer and publisher behind Elsword and GrandChase, announced that their new title, Return Alive, has officially launched.
Previewed through a cinematic trailer earlier on March 26, 2024, Return Alive is a game that pioneers a new universe in Looter Shooter genre with an isometric view and a wide variety of weapons in arsenal.

Return Alive is set in the Apocalyptic World where a cataclysmic war between two highly advanced civilizations left everything in ruins. As the “Black Fog”, an extremely toxic gas used during the war, consumed most of the land, humanity was forced to retreat underground or into the highlands where resources are scarce. Mercenaries were hired to retrieve the resources amidst the Abandoned Lands consumed by the Black Fog. Mercenaries must gather as much resources while contesting for survival against the Black Fog, mutated monsters, and other mercenaries to return alive.
Many changes have taken place from the last CBT. 2 New Battlegrounds – Abandoned Harbor and Desolate Desert – have been added. A total of 42 weapons allows a variety of customizable combat. Players can also team up in groups of 3 to participate in the struggle. A total of 15 players will enter the battleground in groups of 3 to contest for loot against each other and against the monstrosities that inhabit the battleground and escape to safely return alive back to base.
Return Alive provides an RPG-like experience by allowing players to enhance themselves and their equipment. An in-game roadmap has been laid out so players can creatively use 2 weapons in synergy to create their personal build. Content has been adjusted so that players will focus less on repetitive work and more on the player interactions that make the game much more fun.
Game Director Jae Gwan Lee states “There are many good Shooting Games out there, but Return Alive shines a new light upon the genre through the shift in the view and the addition of RPG-like growth system”.
With the launch of the game in the Epic Store and with the Wishlist count event, Return Alive provides a variety of bonuses and rewards at the start.
