November 2025 – KARANEKO, a turn-based game blending JRPG elements with Visual Novel storytelling, has achieved remarkable success within its first 24 hours on Kickstarter, reaching 80% of its funding goal (over $20,000.
Inspired by games such as Undertale and Deltarune, KARANEKO introduces a unique bullet-hell battle system within a story-driven experience about family, choice, and discovery.
About the Game
In KARANEKO, players take on the role of Karam, who awakens in a mysterious new world and sets out on a journey to find his missing brother. Along the way, players explore interconnected maps, interact with objects, and build meaningful connections with other characters whose paths intertwine with their own.
As the story unfolds, players uncover the worldʼs hidden truths while facing emotional and strategic challenges. Each encounter features fast-paced, everchanging bullet-hell battles that can be adjusted in intensity and difficulty to suit individual playstyles.
Choices made during conversations and battles can have lasting consequences, shaping both the journey and its outcome in subtle or significant ways.
