About OfMiceAndMechs
Built over more than nine years by solo developer MarxMustermann, OfMiceAndMechs is a roguelike, base builder, and factory builder inspired by genre-defining classics Dwarf Fortress and RimWorld - a lighter take on the depth they established, designed to be approachable without sacrificing complexity.
The game throws players into a dystopian open world where the mechanisms kept running long after everything else stopped. Survival means scavenging, building a base, automating production chains that turn raw scrap into finished steel, and commanding a workforce capable of carrying on even after your own death.
Fight through eight dungeons, fortify your walls against endless waves, and collect all seven glass hearts to claim a throne no one is left to want. A brain implant guides you. The rest is up to you.
Key Features
- Explore an open world at your own pace - eight dungeons wait to be conquered.
- Build a base, chain workshops, and put your workers to use.
- Build traps, fortify your walls, and defend what's yours or lose everything.
- Death is permanent... unless your workers still breathe.
- A brain implant guides you. The rest is up to you.
