Hoodoo and Whodunit in Voodoo Detective

Love letter to the 2D point-and-click adventure genre brings indie charm and industry heavyweights

November 9 - Short Sleeve Studios today announced Voodoo Detective, an indie love letter to the classic 2D point-and-click adventure games of yore. Featuring beautiful hand-drawn artwork, full character voice-over, and an immersive live soundtrack all wrapped around the story of a wise-cracking, hard boiled detective trying to save the world and pay the bills. Voodoo Detective is slated to release for PC, Android, and iOS in 2022.

 

New Ginen: a small island town steeped in rich Voodoo culture, overrun by chain stores, infested with privileged tourists.  Where local color and colonial corruption clash in a desperate battle for survival. Against this fascinating backdrop we meet a mysterious woman with no past standing at the center of a drama so profound the threads of reality are threatening to unravel! Join Voodoo Detective on his latest case, where danger hides behind every dirty secret and each thrilling moment may be his last.  It’s time to don your fedora and trenchcoat, detective, you’ve got a mystery to solve!
 

 

Voodoo Detective brings the old school charm of classic 2D point-and-click adventures games to life with whimsical puzzles, stunning visuals, and professional voice acting, enlisting the expertise of a number of industry veterans including voice director Darragh O’Farrell (The Curse of Monkey Island), composer Peter McConnell (Psychonauts 2, Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge), animator John MacFarlane (The Iron Giant, The Simpsons), sound designer Julian Kwasneski (Sam & Max, The Curse of Monkey Island), and more.
