Heavy Duty Challenge Revs Up for September 14 PC, Console Launch

Start engines for an open playtest, Discord AMA this weekend

PADERBORN — July 6, 2023 — Heavy Duty Challenge®, the open-world, off-road truck simulator from the AAA sim vets at Aerosoft and developer Nano Games, hauls toward a Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023 launch on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Drivers eager to get behind the wheel can participate in an open playtest on Steam July 8-10, with exciting prize packages for participants.

Step into the driver’s seat of an immersive off-road trucking simulation with formidable trial competitions and cross-country driving. Journey through the relaxing open world in licensed vehicles or climb online leaderboards in showdowns full of obstacles to overcome and precarious paths to traverse.

Heavy Duty Challenge® blends state-of-the-art visuals and pitch-perfect physics to create an engaging experience for both simulation enthusiasts and trial-oriented racers. Swap between camera perspectives to experience life behind the wheel in richly detailed cabins or get an optimal view of the ground below the vehicle to ensure each axle stays grounded while climbing steep cliffs. Each of the 12 drivable vehicles is fully upgradable, with new parts to acquire and reinforce, as well as accurate damage and repair systems in place to manage and maintain.

From 10 AM CEST on Saturday, July 8, to 10 AM CEST on Monday, July 10, 2023, truck drivers can put their skills to the test in an open playtest available on Steam. Compete in trials during the playtest to win grand prizes - including a Logitech G920 steering wheel - or join creative competitions conducted via Discord. A Q&A on r/trucksim’s Discord will also kick off on July 9, allowing community members to learn more about Heavy Duty Challenge® ahead of its Sept. 14, 2023, launch on PC and consoles.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the talented developers at Nano Games to bring Heavy Duty Challenge® to PC and consoles,” said Maarten Janello, Product Manager at Aerosoft. “Its blend of open-world exploration, trial-oriented challenges, and state-of-the-art physics make it the perfect experience for simulation fans. Try it yourself during the open playtest this weekend!”

Heavy Duty Challenge® will come to PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on Thursday, September 14, 2023. It features English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Czech, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Ukrainian and Hungarian language support.
