October 30, 2026 — Ridiculous Games has released GHOST HUNT, a free Halloween game you play in a web browser. Open it on a TV or a computer, scan the code on the screen, and your phone becomes the light gun: point it at the screen like a remote and pull the trigger to bag the ghosts before the pumpkin-headed scarecrow laughs at you. Only have a phone handy? Type the word on a ghost to blast it instead.
GHOST HUNT is the studio's Halloween greeting and a love letter to the light-gun games of the 1980s, with a heckling scarecrow, a full moon and a field of lost souls. It is free to play now at https://teamridiculous.net/ghost-hunt/for a limited time, until November 2.
MODES
- Solo: hunt through waves that get faster and sneakier. Every game gets a worldwide rank and a score card to share.
- 2P Versus: one player hunts and the other haunts, flying a lost soul hidden among look-alikes and throwing decoys.
- Team Hunt, for 2 to 8 players, each on their own phone with their own crosshair. In Co-op Survival the team catches each wave's quota together. Spiritual Chairs is a twist on musical chairs: every round has one ghost fewer than there are hunters, and whoever comes up empty-handed is out, then comes back flying ghosts from their phone to haunt everyone still hunting.
