Flippfly, creators of 2013's RACE THE SUN, has announced a Steam Early Access release date of August 21 for their upcoming game Whisker Squadron: Survivor, and released a stunning hand animated launch trailer.
ABOUT WHISKER SQUADRON: SURVIVOR
Whisker Squadron: Survivor is an cosmic roguelite on-rails shooter, and the first of two upcoming games in the Whisker Squadron universe. Whisker Squadron: Survivor has been described as "Starfox meets Vampire Survivors", with a unique blend of on-rails gameplay and randomized ship leveling with an exciting array of passive items. The game plays out in wild 30-minute runs across 10 zones that get increasingly overrun with The Swarm. The game will feature several game worlds and lots of unlockable pilots, weapons and perks for its Early Access Steam launch.
Whisker Squadron: Survivor is the first in a series of games set in the Whisker Squadron universe. It will be followed by Whisker Squadron (working title, launching in 2024) which will feature the same characters and backstory, and play out in expansive open world space environments.
