Flat2VR Spark Ignites at the VR Games Showcase

Creator-powered, studio-supported. Spark formalizes Flat2VR’s grassroots DNA into an official pipeline for licensed VR

TAMPA, FL – August 12, 2025 — Today at the VR Games Showcase, Flat2VR Studios announced Flat2VR Spark, a creator first label that partners world-class talent with Flat2VR’s publishing muscle to ship official, fully licensed VR adaptations across Meta Quest, PS VR2, and PC VR at speed and at quality. Spark is built for scale and focus: small expert pods lead day-to-day production, while Flat2VR handles licensing, QA, TRC/TCR and XR platform requirements, platform certification, community, and go-to-market. The result is more great flat-to-VR conversions, sooner, without diluting the standard that defines Flat2VR Studios

“Spark lets proven developers operate like entrepreneurial pods with shared upside, so they move fast and take smart creative risks, while we keep the quality bar airtight,” said Eric Masher, COO at Flat2VR Studios. “We provide the licensed source, shared tech, QA, and certification, they bring the craftsmanship. It is how we ship more official VR games without bloating headcount.”

Spark is not outsourcing. It aligns incentives. Partners receive credit and revenue participation under the Spark label, while IP remains with the original rights holders. Flat2VR sets the guardrails on performance budgets, comfort, UX, and safety, and stays in the loop with code reviews and milestone gates. The core Flat2VR Studios team continues to run studio-led productions, while Spark adds a second, flexible pipeline for high-fit external talent.

What Spark Is, and Why It Exists

Spark is us getting back to our roots. Flat2VR started as a scrappy modding community that made the games we loved playable in VR. Spark formalizes that DNA. We pair proven modders and specialist developers with official source access and production support, so passion projects can become supported storefront releases without losing the experimental spirit that makes this scene special. Creators get paid and credited, developers get a zero upfront path with a clear revenue share, and players get more great VR games on more platforms.

Spark lets us stay fiercely indie at scale. It’s our community roots, made official. Creators get ownership and support, players get more killer VR, and the quality bar stays non-negotiable,” said Elliott Tate, Co-Founder of Flat2VR Studios

How Flat2VR Spark works

  • Ownership and incentives: Spark leads get real credit and revenue share under the Spark label. IP stays with the original developer or rights holder.

  • Speed and elasticity: Small pods spin up in weeks, scale per milestone, and avoid long hiring cycles.

  • Quality control: Flat2VR provides licensed source, shared tooling, QA, TRC and TCR compliance, platform cert, and publishing operations.

  • Parallel pipelines: Spark expands throughput without overloading the core studio, so more official VR titles can ship in parallel.

First Titles Under the Flat2VR Spark Banner

THE SIGNAL: Stranded on Sirenis — VR adaptation

Goose Byte’s atmospheric survival craft adventure lands in VR with tactile gathering, hands on construction, and first person traversal across a sentient world that watches and reacts to your choices. The flatscreen version highlights narrative first survival, layered exploration, dynamic biomes, and a scavenge, build, extract loop supported by vehicle customization, research, and a refreshed building system. The VR edition preserves that approachable survival pacing while amplifying presence and interaction.

In world, you are searching for a missing loved one on the mysterious planet Sirenis. Expect story driven moments in the opening hours, hostile and docile fauna across distinct zones, and a slow burn mystery delivered through logs, journals, and your in game database.

FlatOut 4: Total Insanity VR

FlatOut 4: Total Insanity rebuilt for VR with content parity and the series’ signature destruction turned up in-headset. Smash through breakable environments, trigger physics-driven pileups, and feel the speed and scale of 27 cars across 20 tracks. Party classics return in VR, including Stunt Mode with a mix of new and re-imagined challenges, Arena Mode with Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Survivor, plus Assault Mode for weaponized demolition racing. The mandate is simple: keep everything fans love, then make it hit harder the moment you put on a headset.

I Am Your Beast VR

Strange Scaffold’s comic book styled covert revenge thriller comes to VR with feral momentum. Players climb trees like a phantom, set traps, repurpose enemy kit, and clear micro sandboxes at breakneck speed. The adaptation channels the flatscreen game’s lightning fast flow and replay friendly structure into full body action that rewards timing, positioning, and audacity.
