LOS ANGELES (Sept. 2, 2025) – This past weekend at PAX West, SQUARE ENIX showed off the opening cinematic for its upcoming standalone tactical RPG, FINAL FANTASY TACTICS – The Ivalice Chronicles. Debuting during the “Making of FINAL FANTASY TACTICS – The Ivalice Chronicles” panel, the updated cinematic offers a glimpse into the early lives of Ramza and Delita, setting the stage for their harrowing journey through Ivalice. The sequence also showcases the emotionally rich soundtrack that will bring the epic story to life when the game launches on September 30 across all major consoles and PC.

Held before a packed audience of enthusiastic fans, the panel featured Director Kazutoyo Maehiro and Art Director Hiroshi Minagawa, with voice actor Ben Starr serving as host. Together, they explored the development of the original game, along with the enhanced features that both longtime fans and newcomers can look forward to in this upcoming tactical RPG, including refined graphics, a newly enriched script, full voice acting, and a suite of quality-of-life updates designed to deliver a modern gameplay experience.
