[MARMALADE GAME STUDIO —24/07/2025] — Marmalade Game Studio has released the last expansion for Exploding Kittens 2’s Explosive Expansion Pass. Players can now enjoy eight new cards and eleven new deck recipes in the Barking Kittens Expansion.
Barking Kittens adds a number of new mechanics to the game, including an impromptu sub-game of chicken using a pair of Barking Kitten cards: if another player has the other Barking Kitten card, they explode when this card is played. If they don’t, the card is left in front of the player, and they become a target when another Barking Kitten card is played.
There are seven more cards coming with the expansion too, adding an array of new abilities from stealing the next card another player draws from the draw pile to making each player put one card face down on the draw pile. The game will even feature the fan-favourite Tower of Power, protecting a player from having cards stolen.
The expansion also includes eleven new decks to shake up the game:

Power Play deck – A deck made entirely of the most powerful cards in the game!

Sharing Is Caring deck – A deck made for sharing…and sometimes a bit of caring.

Meowsochist deck – The ultimate high-risk, high-reward deck.

Eye for an Eye deck – A deck built around seeing the future…even if you can’t always stop it.

Card Hoarders deck – No skipping. No avoiding drawing cards.

Mind Games deck – A deck built for bluffers!

Cat Fight deck – A quick-fire deck loaded with aggressive cards!

Sticky Fingers deck – A deck that’s all about stealing!
