Enter the Purple Lands — DDoD Announcement + Gameplay Trailer

Kyiv, Ukraine — August 14, 2025. The Future Entertainment Company invites you into the quarantine zone with DDoD, a top-down single & co-op tactical roguelite shooter set in an abandoned industrial zone consumed by a semi-sentient biological AI anomaly.

Revealed today with its debut gameplay trailer, DDoD drops you into the Purple Lands, a sprawling open-world map swallowed by a DNA-warping anomaly known as the Fog. Exposure twists DNA in unpredictable ways. The cautious and the careful sometimes gain abilities no human was meant to have… but everything has a price.

Your journey leads to the very heart of the industrial wasteland, across swamps, forests, and dead towns, to the source of the Fog itself. Along the way, you’ll scavenge, customize your weapons, and push your luck further than it should ever go.

DDoD has been announced as part of Ukrainian Games Festival 2025 on Steam. Learn more about the game and wishlist DDoD on Steam.

Key Features

  • Massive Open Map. Explore the Purple Lands, once a thriving industrial hub, now a wound in the countryside. The zone is littered with towns, factories, military checkpoints, and research bunkers. Built using real-world topography, the terrain shifts between dense forests, swamps, and industrial ruins.

  • Dynamic Zone. Life in the Purple Lands is never static. Expect dynamic weather, a full day/night cycle, and warped climates where geography itself has been altered by anomaly.

  • The Fog. The Fog warps all living things, turning humans and animals into nightmarish mutations. But it can also be a weapon in your hands. Step into the Fog or inject a Booster to gain extraordinary powers. Just remember: the transformation is irreversible, and the side effects are… unpredictable.

  • Tactical & Stealth Combat. Realistic weapon handling, authentic ballistics, and limited ammo. Enemies react to noise, light, and player tactics. Fight demand strategy. A pack of mutant hounds and an elite squad of infected mercenaries are two very different things.

  • Roguelite Progression. DDoD features a variety of loadouts, points of interest, and weapon modifications. Key upgrades stay, but you’ll have to search for new gear or loot off your body if you die.

  • Player Freedom. Every run starts at the base. From there, the route is yours to choose, take side quests to stockpile gear, upgrade your loadout, and explore points of interest. Or gamble everything on a straight shot into the Fog.

  • 1-4 Player Co-Op. Face the Purple Lands alone or with up to three friends. Share loot, revive allies, coordinate ambushes, and argue over who’s got to go into the Fog when the batteries fail.

  • A Cast of Crazy Locals. The bunkers of the Purple Lands are home to a cast of fully-voiced, eccentric survivors: From Basile, the grumpy gate guard, to Lucia, an arms dealer grandmother, and Mort, the gossip-spreading bartender. They’re all a bit crazy and in this place, that’s just another required skill. How’d you survive otherwise?
