Eleventh Hour Games Reveals Unique Trade System For Action RPG Last Epoch, Ahead of 1.0 Launch on February 21
As Last Epoch prepares to head out of Early Access, a deep dive into Trade Factions reveals a robust and flexible system built on community feedback.
Players have the option of joining two factions; The Merchant’s Guild and the Circle of Fortune. Designed with feedback from the player community while in Early Access, these two options provide a fully integrated solution into the lore and mechanics of Last Epoch, allowing players to make a meaningful and rewarding choice in how they want to empower their loot hunt in Eterra.
Players can join The Merchant’s Guild, allowing them to trade with one another directly, or via the Bazaar, where players will find an abundance of stalls, filled with items of varying rarity. Or they can align with the Circle of Fortune, which still allows players to trade with individuals, but enhances item drops, and allows for the use of Prophecies to help find better and more items.
“Balancing a trade system is one of the most difficult challenges in a loot-based game, because it significantly impacts the item hunt for all players,” said Judd Cobler, Founder and CEO of EHG, and game director on Last Epoch. “Players are often split over an economy that can add value to their items and builds, and the thrill of the hunt that leads to uncovering unique items.”
“But with crucial feedback from our community, we’ve implemented a solution we believe satisfies both sides of the debate, and is a truly unique take on the action RPG trade debate.”

Between now and full release, Eleventh Hour Games refuses to rest on its laurels, with the previews of two new classes, The Falconer and Warlock, due over the next two months.
