Over the Radio is a local co-op communication game where a pilot and a navigator must work together to fly a plane and reach the correct destination. The pilot sees the game screen and controls the aircraft, while the navigator studies a physical map to give precise instructions. Since neither can see the other’s information during flight, success depends entirely on clear communication.
Each flight takes place in a mysterious national park with endless terrain and ever-changing conditions. Success depends on teamwork, creativity, and smart navigation.
The title has been selected as part of Selected Indie 80 and will be showcased at Tokyo Game Show 2025.

The pilot and navigator must rely solely on conversation to reach their destination. Clues are scattered throughout the flight: from the cockpit, the pilot can spot natural landmarks like mountains and lakes, as well as man-made structures. Entering certain airspaces triggers distinctive sounds, offering vital hints to pinpoint your location. With each player seeing different information and clues, clear communication is key to a successful flight.
(Over the Radio is designed for local play, but with voice chat or a call app, you can enjoy it even when you're far apart.)
The replay feature lets players review the entire flight, reliving the thrill of success and laughing over moments of miscommunication—“Wait, that’s what you heard?!” Even failed attempts become fun stories as you compare the actual route with what you imagined.
The game includes specially designed maps inspired by real aviation charts, which can be printed and used during play. By combining different map tiles, the terrain changes with each session, allowing endless replayability—even with the same maps. The blend of a physical map and digital gameplay creates a unique, board game-like experience. (Maps will be available for download from the official site. The game can also be played without printing.)
“This game was born from my own pilot training experience,” says the developer. “I wanted to capture the challenge of radio communication and the fun of plotting flight routes on specialized maps, but make it more accessible and something people could enjoy together. Flying in the real world requires teamwork—this made me want to create a multiplayer flight game where players can experience that same feeling of collaboration. I wanted to create a game that delivers the excitement and thrill of flying—something casual yet cool.”
