Co-op Roguelite Berserker’s Descent announces its release date: September 18th

With a new trailer, indie developer Rendah Games announced today that Berserker’s Descent is leaving early access with a 1.0 version on September 18th, 2020.

Throw Risk of Rain 1, Devil May Cry, and bullet hell into a blender, and you get Berserker’s Descent. The game entered Early Access back in December of 2018, and this PC release will be its biggest update yet, adding new enemies, areas, revamped game mechanics, and a new “Challenge” mode reminiscent of the Event Matches in Super Smash Bros. games.

Berserker’s Descent is a high-speed, sidescrolling melee roguelite made to truly test and foster skill, rather than having the player progress with between-game upgrades. It’s design translates the crowd-control and stylish combos of the great 3D action games into a 2D roguelite package, complete with permadeath, items, and special attacks. It also has no-nonsense co-op with up to 4 players. With a 100% positive review score on Steam at the time of publication, it must be doing something right.
