FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Indie developers D’Avekki Studios today revealed who’ll be taking to their therapy couch in the upcoming sequel to 2017 cult hit The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker.
The new cast are Paul Baverstock (Not For Broadcast), Harry Bradley (The Mousetrap), Anna Fraser (Murderous Muses), Beth Gatherer (Murderous Muses), and Sydney Skye. They join Aislinn De’Ath (Midnight Caller), who was announced last year and has appeared in all four of the studio’s previous games.
The five new characters are patients of the recently deceased Doctor Dekker who players must help whilst solving a murder.
Filming begins in August.
About the cast
Paul Baverstock, best known to gamers as Not For Broadcast’s Jeremy Donaldson, makes his return to the FMV fold as Killian, a programmer and compulsive gambler who tries to code around the bookie’s odds.
Harry Bradley comes fresh from Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap in London’s West End to make his videogame debut as Dune, a 1930s-style detective suffering from amnesia and an internal identity crisis.
Aislinn De’Ath reprises her role as Marianna, who returns to assist the player with their investigation whilst pursuing a secret mission of her own. Aislinn portrayed Violet in The Shapeshifting Detective and Dark Nights with Poe and Munro, as well as Lilith in Murderous Muses.
Anna Fraser, who previously played Sunday and Monday Finch in Murderous Muses as well as the titular monster in viral horror anthology series Guest and Guest 2, takes on the role of Saphira, a scientist with a long and gothic family history.
Beth Gatherer plays forest-dwelling healer Bridget, whose unconventional methods have landed her in trouble with the police. Beth featured as Professor Catherine Myers in Murderous Muses and regularly performs murder mystery roles.
The cast is rounded out by Sydney Skye as Ophelia, a sculptor who is haunted by voices in the walls of her childhood home. Sydney has numerous credits in film, theater and voiceover and has most recently been touring as Alice in Alice in Wonderland.
