August 15 - Arkanya Games is set to launch The Girl from Arkanya on Steam next week, August 21, 2025, inviting players into a 2D Zelda-inspired adventure through the lush jungles of Amazonia. The highly anticipated title, which raised over 430% of its original Kickstarter goal in 2020 with backing from 1,381 supporters, is available to wishlist today on Steam.

Players take on the role of Marisa, an ambitious treasure hunter determined to build her reputation and carry on her family's legacy. But dreams rarely involve magical capybaras or saving an entire nation. When a terrible turn of events forces her to work alongside Kapi, known to locals as Ka'apiuara Yum Kaax, the unlikely duo embarks on a journey to protect their home, uncover ancient secrets, and maybe make a little gold along the way.

Blending classic top-down exploration with puzzle-solving, dungeon crawling, and a unique two-character dynamic, The Girl from Arkanya invites players to explore hand-crafted zones, uncover artifacts that reveal Amazonia's history, and master both tools and ancient magic to overcome challenges. Whether travelling solo or teaming up in local co-op, every step is made better by Kapi.
