Pittsburgh-based indie publisher Mega Cat Studios is excited to announce that applications are now open for the Super MAGFest Indie Retro Homebrew Showcase! Now in its eighth year, this fan-favorite event celebrates the creativity, passion, and technical wizardry of the indie retro community as they breathe new life into your favorite classic gaming consoles.
At the Indie Retro Homebrew Showcase, step into a space lined with cozy couches, CRT monitors, and a treasure trove of retro consoles, where the warm glow of cathode rays highlights the latest and greatest retro homebrew releases to thousands of attendees.
To celebrate submissions opening up, Mega Cat Studios has released a trailer highlighting last year’s event and the incredible games that were highlighted, including Banana Bash, Vengeance Hunters, Cronela’s Mansion, and Former Dawn, which blew away our seasoned panel of judges last year with their innovative gameplay mechanics, stellar production values, and infectious tunes.
