Tallinn, Estonia, 26th of June 2025 – Bootstrap Island, the realistic VR survival game, is proud to release Major Update 4: Riverlands - a massive new expansion that introduces an entirely new biome, game-changing mechanics, and fresh dangers. This is the largest update to date, offering players an entirely new region to explore - one that’s larger than the previous areas combined.
The Riverlands: A New World of Water and Wonder
To reach the Riverlands, players must first overcome their toughest challenge yet - defeating the Jungle Overlord in his Dark Lair. Only then will they unlock access to this lush, untamed region teeming with new opportunities and deadly surprises.
Key features of the Riverlands include:
- Endless Fresh Water: Rivers, waterfalls, and streams flow through the biome, making thirst a thing of the past - but don't get too comfortable.
- Electric Eel – A dangerous underwater threat capable of stunning or killing unsuspecting swimmers with powerful shocks. Stay alert when crossing rivers or diving for resources.
- Alligator-like Predator – This stealthy, crocodile-like creature lurks along riverbanks, ambushing prey with speed and precision. Tread carefully near the water’s edge.
- Musket Sling: Musket Sling – Carry your musket hands-free with this long-awaited upgrade. Unlocked after surviving several days, it marks your growth into a skilled survivor.
- New Tropical Fruits: Exotic fruits exclusive to the Riverlands offer powerful nourishment benefits.
