BetaDwarf Announces a New Playtest for Vaultbreakers

Studio Announces a New Playtest for their Upcoming Extraction Adventure RPG Title on February 11th.

(Copenhagen, Denmark) – February 5, 2026 – BetaDwarf, developer and publisher of Forced, Forced: Showdown, and the popular game Minion Masters, is excited to announce the next Vaultbreakers playtest during the Steam PvP fest, running from February 11th to February 16th. With this playtest, the studio reveals a new feature rewarding Playtesters with special rewards that will be kept even after launch, as well as a skin system and a reworked ability system.

What’s New in This Playtest?

This playtest focuses on giving players more tools to experiment with build variation and player expression. We’re also introducing the Codex system that rewards Playtesters for helping us in this journey.

  • Legacy and Codex: Players can earn Legacy by joining a Playtest and completing Challenges. They can use Legacy to progress through a Codex, unlocking character Skins & Chromas, alternate abilities, perks, and emotes.

  • Skin System: Players will now be able to express themselves through characters’ skins & Chromas, obtainable in the Codex.

  • Reworked ability system and activatable items: The main gameplay change for this Playtest. Players now have 6 abilities (instead of 4) and start with 3 base abilities. They will find up to 25 alternative abilities on items to customize their loadout and create unique combinations. This system has been designed to introduce more variation in fights, add more replayability, and provide more avenues for theorycrafting.

How to join Vaultbreakers’ Playtest?

To join the Playtest, users will have to get a key from either Twitch Drops or the vaultbreakers.com website. Users who previously redeemed a key don’t need to get a new one.

About Vaultbreakers

Vaultbreakers is a top-down Extraction RPG where you go on PvE or PvPvE adventures. Build your haven, loot ancient artifacts that shape your playstyle, and explore a vast, corrupted world, alone or with friends. Use preparation, knowledge, and skills to clear your path to the Dragonvault.

Key Features:

  • Reactive Gameplay: Missions evolve based on player and NPC actions, offering a fresh experience each time. Polluted areas, secret caves, and ancient rituals are just a few examples of what might unfold.

  • Evolutive Haven: Build your outpost from rubble to fortress, recruiting several NPCs and improving your buildings to unlock new abilities, resources, and items.

  • Unpredictable Enemies: Face off against Changelings, a faction of shapeshifters controlled by advanced AI or other players. Will you attack, avoid, or align with these chaotic foes?

  • High-Stakes Battles: Every attack is punishing but can all be avoided, and every enemy is vulnerable if you strike at the right moment. Outsmarting foes is as critical as overpowering them, so pick your fights carefully.

  • Unique Playstyles: Choose from various Vaultbreakers, unlock perks, craft items, and awaken Artifacts to tailor your abilities and enhance your gameplay.

  • Rich Storytelling: Immerse yourself in the lore of the Vaultguard, an order sworn to protect the world from ancient darkness.

  • Light competition, Real tension: PvP isn’t the goal, it’s the spice. Optional player encounters create thrilling tension and memorable stories without turning the game into a deathmatch.

📅 Mark your calendars: Servers will be open from  February 11th, 10am CET – February 16th, 11:59 PM CET

The Next Playtest after this one is yet to be announced. Go to the vaultbreakers website and sign up to the newsletter to get a key and get notified when it starts.
