September 12, 2022
5th September 2022 - London, UK - Japanese video game developer and publisher Capcom has announced the latest instalment in their hugely popular fighting game series, Street Fighter™ 6, will be playable this September at the UK’s biggest video games event, EGX in partnership with Virgin Media. The hands-on demo will feature seven iconic characters, three of which are playable for the first time ever in Europe, ahead of game launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2023.
From 22nd-25th September at the ExCeL in London, punch your way to success and bring your Street Fighter™ game to the next level with Ryu, Chun-Li, Luke and Jamie as well as Guile, Juri and Kimberly - who will be playable for the first time in Europe at EGX 2022!
Inspired by street culture, Street Fighter 6 will plunge players into a world of vivid graffiti and bop worthy beats. Whether you’re looking to demonstrate your strength, or just have some fun, Street Fighter 6 promises to deliver. With its three game modes: Battle Hub, World Tour and Fighting Ground, players can look forward to improved controls, a pop of colour, and an immersive new story in the Street Fighter universe.
Walk the path of a World Warrior with these newly added playable characters at EGX:
Kimberly
The newest ninja in the Street Fighter series, Kimberly had an ordinary upbringing, but she’s a prodigy who graduated college early and now wants to be a full-fledged ninja. Because of this, Kimberly invited herself to become Guy’s student in the Bushinryu style. She is infatuated with ’80s pop culture hence why she always carries a portable cassette player with her.
Guile
As a US Air Force pilot who fights for his country, Guile succeeded in dismantling Shadaloo and avenged his friend Charlie Nash. Although he enjoys living the family-man life, a new mission now awaits. Guile’s move set in Street Fighter 6 combines his signature moves with fresh additions. He is one powerhouse of a character who retains his ability to keep opponents at a distance.
Juri
First appearing in Super Street Fighter IV, Juri remains a sadistic thrill-seeker who enjoys the suffering of others, taking immense joy in obliterating her foes. Previously, her main motivator was revenge against M. Bison, but since his fall in Street Fighter V, she now whittles away, waiting for the next thrill to come along.
Fight for the first time in Europe/UK (see comment) with these three characters at EGX on 22nd-25th September! Get your tickets here: https://www.egx.net/london/en-gb.html
