Seoul - August 27, 2025 - NEXON’s anime-style RPG Blue Archive has just released the brand new “Pray-Ball! Swing for the Grand Slam!” update on both Steam and mobile. This update features new students, Sumire (Part-Timer) and Rei, a new event story “Pray-Ball! Swing for the Grand Slam!” and more.
In Blue Archive, the player has been appointed as an advisor to the Federal Investigation Club S.C.H.A.L.E., (aka SCHALE) located in Kivotos, a massive city with numerous academies. They must venture forward to resolve the endless incidents that happen in the city while building relationships with charming anime students through RPG Action Strategy and thrilling military action gameplay.

Student Recruitment Event - August 26th marked the start of Blue Archive’s recruitment event, where the chance of acquiring new students, Sumire (Part-Timer) and Rei, has been increased. Sumire (Part-Timer) deals damage to one enemy and applies the Weakness Detection effect, then deals additional damage proportional to her ATK to affected enemies, up to 240 times. Rei deals damage proportional to her ATK to enemies in a circular area. The event will end on Sep. 8 at 5:59 PM PT / Sep. 9 at 1:59 AM UTC.

‘Pray-Ball! Swing for the Grand Slam!’ Story Event - The Blue Archive ‘Pray-Ball! Swing for the Grand Slam!’ event launched on August 26, where players will follow the story of Rei and Sumire (Part-Timer) as they investigate the case involving the Corgi Heroes baseball team and aim for the first victory. Upon completing each story and quest, players will receive event points and special items, such as the ‘Cheering Balloon.’ Event challenges will open on Aug. 26 at 12:00PM PT / 7:00 PM UTC. Players can earn 50 Pyroxenes for each completed stage, and upon clearing the final ‘EX Stage’, they will be rewarded with 5 Secret Tech Note Fragments. The event will end on Sep. 8 at 5:59 PM PT / Sep. 9 at 1:59 AM UTC.
