October 11th, 2025 - Indie studio Super Llama Games is pleased to annouce the 1.0 release of Alone: Shattered Tribes on Steam, after being in early access since 2022.
Alone: Shattered Tribes is a survival RPG without the survival. That is to say, it removes some of the usual difficulties common to the genre, in favour of something more cosy, relaxing, and beginner friendly. In the game you play as a character who has fled from a goblin raid on their village, and was shipwrecked. You'll need to gather resources, craft items, explore, hunt, and build a settlement. Eventually you'll repair your ship, and embark on missions to save other tribes which have been attacked by the goblin menace.
Other features include:
- Quest-driven storyline in a Norse-Fantasy world
- Isometric RPG with survival-ish mechanics for a more relaxed experience
- Procedurally generated islands, forests, and crypts to explore
- Settlement building - including upgrades, furniture, and decorations
- Combat - engaging in battles with animals, undead, goblins, and special bosses
- Unlockable special attacks and powerful runes to give an edge
- Mission rewards include the unification of the Shattered Tribes, and the recruitment of blood brothers to aid in the cause
