Previously released on other platforms, this launch brings Alien Hominid HD back onto PlayStation, the console where it originally found award-winning success as IGN’s fifth most challenging PS2 game of all time back in 2005! Alien Hominid Invasion is the modern reimagining of Alien Hominid in a chaotic, 4-player sidescrolling package, perfect for couch co-op or invading online.
Announced in 2024 as part of The Behemoth’s studio roadmap, the Alien Hominid PlayStation ports are part of a larger initiative by the studio to update their entire gaming catalog and further increase game availability across platforms for all gamers. Additional roadmap ‘stops’ on the horizon include the upcoming Castle Crashers Painter Boss Paradise DLC, set to release this summer, in addition to a quality-of-life update for BattleBlock Theater’s Steam version that will later inform the game’s modern console release.
