A first-person narrative horror: "Moonlit Vigil" announced for Steam

Bangkok, Thailand - October 22 2026 - Independent Latvian developer Chomski Games announced their psychological horror, Moonlit Vigil today. The Steam page is live now and the game will launch in Q1 2027.

Moonlit Vigil is a first-person narrative horror game where you are the cemetery's new caretaker. As you go about your duties, stranger and stranger things start to happen, quickly turning your first shift into a nightmare. Explore the grounds and uncover what really happens to bodies once they're buried in this atmospheric nightmare filled with jumpscares.

Unlike many indie horror games that use a low-poly, PSX-inspired aesthetic, Moonlit Vigil uses physically based rendering (PBR) assets and Unity's High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP) to create a more detailed, atmospheric environment. The game combines exploration, environmental puzzles, and jumpscares in a short, focused horror experience.
