I am pleased to announce that independent student developer Shukurimu has released the dodge-focused 2D action game “THE ENTRANCE” on Steam on April 6, 2026. In this title, the protagonist—banished from heaven—fights through numerous intense encounters on a journey to return there.
■ Game Features
• High-difficulty design where one hit can be fatal
Most enemy attacks come from all directions and deal heavy damage. A single moment of carelessness can easily result in a game over. Additionally, there are no healing elements during combat, ensuring a consistently tense experience. Except for the first three stages, each stage is so challenging that even the developer requires several hours to clear them.
• No attacks—dodge-only gameplay system
To ensure players fully focus on evasion, there are no attack actions available. The objective of each stage is to defeat enemies; however, enemies consume their own “health gauge” every time they perform an attack. When this gauge reaches zero, the enemy is defeated.
• Quick retry system
After a game over, players can instantly retry with the press of a single button. Since combat is the core appeal of this game, it has been designed to minimize stress outside of battles and encourage players to keep trying.
• A variety of engaging gimmicks and attacks
Stages feature numerous unique mechanics, such as breaking floors, gravity restrictions, time reversal, time skipping, and shrinking arenas. There are also many attacks that are difficult to fully describe in words. Each stage offers distinct characteristics to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging.
