Chroma offers over 240 cards and 22 heroes for players to master. Every card and hero in the game is free to all players, including all future expansions. Not only does this monetisation approach allow casual players to enjoy Chroma without a 'collection grind', but it also gives competitive players the ability to come and compete from day one.
Arholt is a World of Mystery and Wonder
Story is at the very heart of Chroma and Arholt is at the very heart of the story. This fantasy land is full of contrasting cultures, controlling factions, and standalone governments. Arholt is a world that feels alive and full of wonder, a world where no adventure is the same and every occupant has their story to tell.
Lore in Chroma will double up as a form of progression. Interacting with different cards and heroes will allow you to unlock secrets hidden within Arholt and that character. All these discoveries can be tracked and followed in Chroma's interactive Arholt world map.

Free...Really?
Yes, all cards are free!
Developer Clarity Games is breaking the mould of what we've come to expect from the free-to-play market, especially in the card game space. Traditional card packs are gone, instead, players will have the option to buy a variety of cosmetics to customise their playing experiences, from emotes to alternative card art and game boards. Chroma will also feature both a free and premium battle pass at launch.

The launch is just the beginning
As with any card game, the launch is only the start of the journey, and Chroma is no different. The monetisation model of Chroma allows Clarity Games to step away from traditional 'expansions', offering the opportunity to release new cards in a more incremental process around 'story-focussed' events.
At launch, Chroma will offer:
- Competitive matchmaking (Best of 1 and Best of 3 with sideboard)
- Casual matchmaking, both PvE and PvP
- Lore progression system, letting players learn the secrets of Arholt as they play the game
- Spectate mode
- Private matchmaking
