Summer Game Fest Edition: Women-Led Games, Latin American Games Showcase, and the Southeast Asian Games Showcase Kicks Off June 7th!

Tokyo, Japan, June 3rd 2024 - Women-Led Games Showcase, Latin American Games Showcase and the Southeast Asian Games Showcase are proud to share new details on their digital events, plus a teaser of games that will be featured on June 7th. As part of their partnership with Summer Game Fest, all three showcases will be aired directly on The Game Awards YouTube Channel as well as their own channels - details below!


2025 marks the second year in a row that the Latin American Games Showcase and Women-Led Games are partnering up with Geoff Keighley’s most anticipated show of the year. As for the Southeast Asian Games Showcase, this year is the showcase’s breakout year as an independent production on a global platform.

The Women-Led Games Showcase will feature 39 games in total. Two titles we can tease are:

 

• Woodo: A 3D coloring book you can touch, a relaxing tale told through handcrafted wooden dioramas. No pressure, just a cozy world that remembers what it felt like to be a child.
• Void Martyrs: A grimdark survival horror about a nun in a space suit. Scavenge amongst drifting space cathedrals, balance your faith with survival, and craft the tools of your salvation.

“We're so excited to return for Summer Game Fest again this year alongside our good friends from LAGS and be a support for SEAGS debut summer show!,” says Charmaine Duff, Founder and Director of Women-Led Games.

The Latin American Games Showcase will feature 59 games with representation from countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, and Colombia. Two titles we can tease are:

 

• Neverway (Brazil): A game that blends horror, life sim, and action RPG co-created by the pixel artist behind Celeste.
• Tormented Souls 2 (Chile): Caroline Walker is back in an award-winning classic survival horror sequel. Explore eerie monasteries and confront terrifying creatures armed only with makeshift weapons as you desperately try to rescue your cursed sister.

The Southeast Asian Games Showcase will feature over 40 games from Singapore, Indonesia, The Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and more. Two titles we can tease are:

 

• Coffee Talk Tokyo (Indonesia/Japan): The newest installment of the beloved coffee brewing and heart-to-heart talking simulator, now set in Tokyo where humans and yokai alike co-exist.
• Cat Quest III (Singapore): Play as a purrivateer in this 2.5D open-world action RPG set in a fantastical pirate-themed world – the Purribean - an archipelago swarming with Pi-rats searching for the Northern Star - a long-lost mythical treasure.
