Gather your tools: cute factory building game Fakutori releases its long-awaited demo on Steam!

Developer Antoine Latour, sort-of-known for his puzzle games Maestria and Bomb Club, has released a demo of his new project! Fakutori is a cute and relaxing factory game that will have you combine block into increasingly complex elements, place machines to automate your production, and seek out the famed Legendary Elements. The demo contains dozens of element blocks to discover, from Fire that can burn other blocks, to Antimatter that can turn its neighbors into… well, something different. Hours worth of automated elements crafting await you in this preview, with much more to come in the full release later this year!

Fakutori is an accessible 2D factory game that aims to distance itself from the daunting complexity of the genre. But while newcomers will find it very easy to pick up, its deceptively simple mechanics will also test the skills of automation experts. There’s always a new optimization to devise, and new blocks to discover!

Worry not, you won’t be alone in this task: the wakas, your faithful helpers, will be there to guide you. During Fakutori’s story, you’ll work with them to investigate the mysteries of their universe and find out what lies beyond the edges of the factory. The demo features the full first act of this story, but you may skip all of it if you’re only there to build production lines. You’ll miss all the puns, though.
