October 2, Raleigh, USA - Fractured Worlds, an old-school dark fantasy Action RPG is ready to welcome players for its first public playtest on Epic Games Store and Steam. Made by Matt Oelfke, who worked as a programmer and designer on blockbuster game franchises such as Gears of War and Unreal Tournament, Fractured Worlds brings a unique hybrid ARPG experience featuring refined and up-to-date game mechanics and seamless multiplayer.
This test will let players experience a slice of full game - including online co-op, invasions, Map Shards, and challenging boss encounters. So while content is intentionally limited, the Playtest offers a complete ARPG experience: procedurally generated dungeons, rare enemies with crazy modifiers, legendary loot, online co-op, a classless progression system, and dozens of skills so you can buildcraft to your heart’s content.

Explore the Fractured Realms
In Fractured Worlds, players find themselves in a reality torn into fragments. Guided by a mysterious voice, you must explore broken realms, recover memory fragments to piece together the past, and confront the forces that caused the cataclysm.
Expect deliberate, precision-based combat where each weapon has a distinct weight, speed, and moveset. The game also features a classless progression system that supports mixing and matching a variety of equipment and skills, emergent multiplayer interactions with other players, and the ability to share part of your game world - complete with enemies and loot - with other players.
