Emergency Call - The Firefighting Simulation 3 Now Available on Steam Early Access!

Train for specialised roles, maintain your equipment, and respond to emergencies across a dynamic open city in the next generation Emergency Call firefighting series, developed alongside a real Firefighting Department

Paderborn, Germany, 5th August 2026: Aerosoft and Crenetic are pleased to announce that Emergency Call - The Firefighting Simulation 3 is available today on PC via Steam Early Access. Players can now begin their first shift at the station, train to fight fires, gain experience to be chosen for higher-risk jobs, and experience the daily routine of a working fire station, on call to respond to emergencies across a large open world.

This time, the team has deliberately chosen to enter Early Access at a very early stage of development to work closely with the community from day one. Player feedback and ideas will play a key role in shaping the game's future, helping the developers expand and refine the simulation throughout the Early Access period.

Developed in close cooperation with the Mülheim an der Ruhr Fire Department, the latest entry in the Emergency Call series recreates far more than the moments following an alarm. Training, physical fitness, equipment knowledge, and adherence to professional procedures all determine how effectively players can perform when an emergency call arrives.

Between emergencies, players can explore the fire station, recreated in line with Mulheim’s own real-world firestation, taking part in equipment drills, improving strength and endurance, and learning how to use vital tools such as the Halligan bar and thermal imaging camera. Further courses allow players to qualify for additional responsibilities.

Once the alarm sounds, players must respond to fires, traffic accidents, rescue missions, recovery work, and hazard protection incidents across a varied urban environment. Changing weather and a dynamic day-night cycle ensure that visibility, road conditions, and operational challenges shift from one call to the next.

A New Generation of Fire Simulation:

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, Emergency Call - The Firefighting Simulation 3 introduces a dynamic fire system in which flames spread naturally, generate smoke and soot, and react to surrounding materials and fuel sources. Players must assess how an incident is developing, select the correct equipment, and make tactical decisions before conditions escalate.

Key Features

  • Professional Station Life: Complete 24 hour shifts, follow a rotating roster, and take part in training, fitness activities, and routine station work.
  • Qualification Based Progression: Complete theoretical and practical courses to unlock specialised operational roles.
  • Dynamic Emergencies: Respond to fires, accidents, rescues, recovery operations, and hazard protection incidents across an open city.
  • Advanced Fire Simulation: Tackle fires that spread through environments, react to fuel sources, and generate realistic smoke and soot.
  • Real World Expertise: Experience systems and procedures developed in cooperation with the Mülheim an der Ruhr Fire Department.

“The team is proud to finally welcome players into Steam Early Access,” said Carsten Widera-Trombach, CEO at crentic. “We’re grateful to both our community, who has supported the series since we first launched the original Emergency Call in 2016, as well as the professional firefighters who have directed us throughout development, with their feedback, we were able to build the most authentic Emergency Call experiences yet, and we’ll keep working together to 1.0 and beyond!”

Steam Early Access will allow Crenetic to further develop the game alongside its community, with additional emergency missions, qualifications, operational areas, station activities, and realism improvements planned throughout development.

Emergency Call - The Firefighting Simulation 3 is available now on PC via Steam Early Access. A full PC release is planned following Early Access, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions scheduled to arrive after Version 1.0.
