SAN MATEO, Calif. - December 12, 2024 - The latest Slime Rancher 2 content update, “Into the Labyrinth” is now available.
In the most comprehensive content update yet, players will get to explore the Grey Labyrinth, an expansive new area full of awe-inspiring sights, challenging puzzles, and the chaotic and dangerous phenomena known as Prisma Disruptions. “Into the Labyrinth” also introduces three new slime species, as well as a mysterious new character that may help guide players through the maze and ultimately the mysteries of Rainbow Island.
Slime Rancher 2 is an early access game. All content updates are free for purchased copies of Slime Rancher 2. New players can join the adventure on Xbox Series X/S, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5 for $29.99.
Players new to the franchise can purchase the Slime Rancher Rainbow Bundle and get Slime Rancher and Slime Rancher 2 for a savings of 10% SRP.

With the introduction of the Grey Labyrinth, the game doubles the map size with varied new zones for players to explore. Home to Some New and Mysterious Slimes

Players will encounter three new slimes while exploring this massive area. With luck, they’ll glimpse upon the reclusive Shadow Slime and their rare, inky plorts. Perhaps easier to spot would be the Sloomber Slime. True to its name, they spread the incredible gift of nap time with other slimes, making them easier to ranch. Lastly, the Twin Slime creates portals that can move objects from one location to another (a very useful power in such a sprawling dungeon).

To venture further into the Labyrinth, players will need to pool their wits and gadgets together to solve puzzles, open doors, and discover how to utilize the unpredictable, chaotic events called Prisma Disruptions to their advantage. These kaleidoscopic rainbow energy surges can occur anywhere in the Labyrinth, and, upon contact, may impact the environment, the resources, and can even hurt the player.
