The new trailer, focused exclusively on the demo/tutorial section, offers spectacular visuals and a cinematic dark-fantasy atmosphere — featuring sound cues reminiscent of God of War. At the end of the screening, the reveal of the demo’s release date on Steam triggered a roar of applause, a clear sign of the emotional impact and anticipation surrounding the project.

“What we’re showing today is the result of the hard work of a team of just three people, all united by a single goal: to entertain you with what they create,” opened the ActionGames.c.l.r. team. “Darkness: Prince of Shadows is not just a game to us, it’s a work of art.”
They added an important clarification: “What you’ve seen is only a fragment of the full game. We want this to be clear: Darkness: Prince of Shadows has many gameplay elements, and fitting them all into a demo would be like trying to fit an elephant into a barrel.”

Asked about the reasons behind the early release, the developers explained:
The Italian gaming scene is often underestimated. A demo helps spark global interest, gather feedback, and refine the gameplay experience.
The team hints that the demo might also serve future console porting projects, without specifying any platforms. Considering the nature of ID programs on certain consoles, this choice might suggest interest in particular platforms, but nothing has been officially confirmed.
