Toronto, Canada — August 13, 2025 — The unbelievably cute world of Capy Castaway is welcoming cozy gamers both online and in-person this month! A free playable demo is featured in Steam’s Wholesome Games Celebration, and is available to the public now through August 28.
Visitors attending gamescom 2025 in Cologne can meet the Kitten Cup Studio development team and get their hands on Capy Castaway in the Indie Arena Booth, Hall 10.2, Section 1 – S17.
Capy Castaway will also be featured in the FGS Live From gamescom show airing Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. PDT / 3:30 p.m. EDT / 8:30 p.m. BST / 9:30 p.m. CEST, immediately following the Future Games Show at gamescom. Viewers who tune in will be treated to a demo that highlights the creative possibilities of Capy Castaway's playful gameplay with commentary from Kitten Cup Creative Director Saffron Aurora.
FGS Live From gamescom will feature Capy Castaway as well as an array of other exclusive trailers, developer interviews, and gaming news direct from the gamescom show floor. Both shows will air on the official Future Games Show Facebook, Twitch, X, and YouTube channels.
About Capy Castaway
Forced from their home by a massive flood, Capy the capybara pup and their fellow zoo animals are cast into a whole new world. As Capy washes ashore, they are found by Corvi, a clever crow with plenty to say. With a limited amount of time to return home, the two must work together using their collective skills to solve puzzles, help others, and piece together what exactly home is to them.
