[2025-04-01] A South Korean video game publisher ThumbAge Co., Ltd. announced that its subsidiary, Champion Studio, has update introduces a new uppercut glove and multiple system improvements.
The new uppercut glove "Riot RD", inspired by a bold and rebellious graffiti concept, applies a buff that scales with the player’s critical damage upon attack. This allows players to unleash powerful uppercut critical hits, and when combined with other critical gear, it creates a synergistic effect that delivers even greater impact and exhilarating damage.
Alongside the update, a new “Rookie Ranking” system has been introduced for new players.
New users are placed in a separate leaderboard and can enjoy league matches for four weeks. After the final week, they are automatically transitioned to the main leaderboard, where they can compete with veteran players. This system reflects thoughtful consideration for newcomers to the game.
In addition, the time-gated League Victory Reward Box has been revamped into the new GBCA Box, which allows players to claim rewards more flexibly. The in-game home screen UI has also been improved to display available missions, enhancing convenience and enabling more efficient gameplay.
To celebrate the update, players who place 1st to 3rd in the Rookie League will receive exclusive new Boxing Star merchandise.
Additionally, various in-game rewards will be given to those who meet certain upgrade milestones for the new glove. Special events such as an April Fool’s Day coupon giveaway will also be held through the community, offering plenty of in-game items.
