BEFORE I GO is coming to consoles in 2026

Dunkirk, France - August 20th, 2025 | While showcasing his haunting and challenging action-platformer in the Indie Arena Booth at Gamescom, solo dev Jérôme Coppens today announces that BEFORE I GO is on its way to consoles and will be available on PS5Xbox SeriesXbox One and Switch.

BEFORE I GO was first revealed in 2024 with a Steam PC version in the works, followed by a demo launched during the Steam Next Fest, June 2024. The game now steadily reaches completion and the production will enter its beta stage imminently.

Drawing its major inspirations from metroidvania classics like Super Metroid, Guacamelee! or Axiom Verge, Jérôme Coppens considers bringing BEFORE I GO to consoles an obvious and crucial aspect of his work, a tribute to all console games that made him pursue his career in the video game industry.

BEFORE I GO will launch on consoles and PC in 2026.

BEFORE I GO is created by Jérôme Coppens and published through his production company, J's Labratory (based in Dunkirk, France). After nearly 15 years in the game industry and various programmer roles, he decided to go full-time indie and took on his childhood dream of creating his own game. BEFORE I GO has been in full-time production since 2021.
