Astra Logical Showcases Kaizen: A Factory Story and Dawn Apart in Steam Next Fest

Two vastly different systems games join the conveyor belt of new game goodness

June 10, 2025 - Los Angeles, CA - This June, Astra Logical brings two deeply systemic titles to Steam Next Fest - Kaizen: A Factory Story and Dawn Apart - both offering a unique take on building, automation, and the flow state that can accompany a very satisfying video game.

A
nd conveyor belts. There may or may not be a few conveyor belts involved.

Kaizen: A Factory Story by Coincidence

From the creators of Opus Magnum and SpaceChem, Kaizen is a Zachlike game from the OG Zachtronics team that tasks players with designing, building, and optimizing production lines in factories across Japan. Build calculators, camcorders, arcade machines, and more in an attempt to rise through the ranks in 1980s Japan.

Kaizen launches on July 14th on Steam for PC.

Dawn Apart by Industrial Technology and Witchcraft

Developed with inspiration from genre-defining titles such as Factorio and RimWorld, Dawn Apart offers a fresh take on the  space colony sim genre, emphasizing both strategic depth and narrative  agency. The game's destructible world and intricate automation systems promise hours of engaging gameplay for fans of strategy and simulation.

Dawn Apart launches on July 14th on Steam and the Epic Game Store for PC.

(Yes, both games are launching on the same day. Yes, we know this is going to be a pretty wild day for us as an indie publisher supporting these fantastic developers.)

Both demos are now live and available during Next Fest from June 9th through the 16th.

About Coincidence

Coincidence is a flexible business framework that mostly makes games, founded and created by numerous former ex-Zachtronics developers who worked on titles like Opus Magnum, Infinifactory, Last Call BBS, SpaceChem, and more.

While it may appear their works are developed according to a certain plan or schema, they are not. The human brain is wired to infer causal relationships between events that bear similarity to each other whether or not such causes exist. Therefore, these works are developed by Coincidence.

About Industrial Technology and Witchcraft

Industrial Technology and Witchcraft makes games in voxels and pixels with amazing soundtracks. Based in Berlin, Germany, the team is currently working on Dawn Apart, an automation game that takes place on a completely destructible voxel planet.
