COLOGNE, GERMANY — AUGUST 13, 2025 — Developer Mysteria Studio has today unveiled Asterfel, a third-person single-player Action-RPG that plunges players into a fractured island nation on the brink of collapse. Drawing inspiration from early 2000s RPG classics, Asterfel promises a rich blend of intense combat, storytelling, and a dark world shaped by magic gone awry.
Players awaken as a shipwreck survivor on the shores of Asterfel, an island torn apart by greed, fractured alliances, and supernatural forces. The King's magical mines have unearthed more than treasure. They’ve awakened horrors, stirred an old god from its slumber, and unleashed chaos across the land.
The heart of Asterfel is its faction-based narrative. Align with one of three rival factions:
- The Crown Wardens, loyal to the King and charged with protecting his rule.
- The Kindred, rebels fighting to free the people from oppression.
- The Scholars, mages who seek to understand and control the surging tides of wild magic.
Each faction offers unique perspectives, quests, and moral dilemmas—your choices will shape the island’s destiny. Asterfel also features a flexible, in-depth combat system where players can fight with swords, bows, or arcane runes. Engage in brutal melee brawls or cast devastating spells from a distance.
