BOSTON – Aug. 26, 2026 – Amphibian, a somber, story-driven, frog-based, Super2D RPG for fans of classic console adventures from JARCORP Interactive, tells a tale of a family, sacrifice, and generation violence in a world of bipedal, talking frogs and toads in 2028 for PC for Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

A countrywide drought forces Sapo and his frog allies into war against the invading toads. As dehydration and starvation grip The Pond, they must hurry to find a solution to the crisis - and liberate their homeland. Dive into a focused, concise experience with fully curated battles and no random encounters, inspired by classic, turn-based RPGs from the era of GameCube and Game Boy Advance.

The campaign progresses forward with intentionally limited side content, to create an experience with no filler, where every encounter and system serves the story. Shops and currency don’t exist in this world, and the lack of random encounters means no way to grind levels. The path forward requires managing health and resources in battle intelligently, with the difficulty striking a balance between mistakes having consequences, without feeling unfair or punishing.

Fight with a party of four in turn-based battles against all manner of beasts and frog predators, as well as other deadly amphibians. Develop each hero through a branching class system that makes no two builds the same, and enables a wide variety of play styles and party compositions. Between battles, explore the expansive, detailed world of frogs and toads with light 2D platforming and puzzles to solve, inspired by old-school survival horror games.

Amphibian combines classic 2D pixel art with modern visual effects and perspective for a “Super2D” visual style. GRAMMY-winning producer Shireen Ghosh (Sword of the Sea, Towerborne) leads the game’s sound design, while Amphibian’s creative director and frontman of the band Western Education, Greg Alexandropoulos, provides an original, rock-driven original soundtrack for the game.

“The guiding principle of Amphibian is the synthesis of intentionality and purpose. Where every aspect of the gameplay matters. ” said Co-Creators Greg Alexandropoulos & James Roumeliotis, co-founders of JARCORP Interactive, “We're making Amphibian for RPG fans who want an emotional, impactful experience, weaved into a concise, hard-hitting, turn-based adventure.”

Amphibian launches in 2028 for PC for Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with planned support for English, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, German, and Spanish language text. About JARCORP Interactive

JARCORP Interactive is a Massachusetts-based game development studio that is committed to creating video games that fuse impactful storytelling with urgent gameplay experiences. The studio was founded in 2025 by musician Greg Alexandropoulos and world-record pogo-stick champion James Roumeliotis. They lead a team that is diverse in background and comes with years of industry experience.

JARCORP Interactive focuses on two key pillars:

Curation - Every element of a JARCORP game earns its place. No filler, no bloat, no wasted time. When you pick up one of our games, you can trust it was made deliberately.

Connection - Our games bring people together, whether you play together or just can't stop talking about them after. A JARCORP game is a shared experience, not a solitary product.

To our Players - You can trust your time with us. Our games are finishable, focused, and worth every hour. When you're done, you'll want to find someone else who's played. We want players to feel respected (your time matters), immersed (nothing breaks the spell), and connected (the experience doesn't end when you put the controller down)
