Developer Kinmoku is excited to announce that VIDEOVERSE 1.2 has launched today for PC, Mac, Linux and Steam Deck in anticipation of its first anniversary on August 7.
The narrative adventure game, inspired by Miiverse and MSN Messenger, sends players back in time to a fictional video game era, where they can share fan art, browse lively gaming communities and foster online friendships. Update 1.2 adds a gallery, additional drawing opportunities, faster messages, updated artwork, and overall polish. It is part of PixElated Adventures – a digital festival celebrating pixel art games.
VIDEOVERSE was one of 2023’s highest rated games, with 90 on Metacritic and 92 on OpenCritic, and recently won ‘Best Narrative’ at Debug Indie Game Awards. VIDEOVERSE will also be attending Tokyo Game Show 2024 as one of Selected Indie 80.
