The Ruins of Symbaroum Setting Handbook Now Available on D&D Beyond

Today, Free League and Wizards of the Coast are excited to announce that the Ruins of Symbaroum Setting Handbook is available now on D&D Beyond.

The handbook swings open the doors to the beloved and critically acclaimed game world of the Symbaroum RPG – a deeper, darker, deadlier setting where unforgettable adventures are waiting behind every crest and bend. This deep dive into the Symbaroum setting presents a world of clashing cultures and ideals, a world of mystery and adventure, a world constantly under threat from the darkness of the Eternal Night.

Whatever you do, tread carefully and do not disturb the ruins of old, for the dark forces of Davokar Forest is about to awaken.

The Ruins of Symbaroum Setting Handbook offers an in-depth description of the rich lore of the Symbaroum setting. It's not a rulebook and therefore doesn't contain any game mechanics, only guidelines.

Key Features of the Ruins of Symbaroum Setting Handbook:
  • A player-facing section, intended to provide knowledge and tools for their PCs to take the initiative in problem-solving situations.
  • A section for the DM full of revelations, truths, and plot hooks, ready to be developed into full-fledged adventures or even massive campaigns.
  • Six locations with background, conflicts, maps, NPCs, and events for the DM to develop into one-shot adventures.
  • Guidelines for staging different kinds of wilderness expeditions, including traveling, companions, events, ruin design, and more.
  • Rules agnostic descriptions of 50 curiosities, 20 mystical items, and 12 magical items specific to the Symbaroum game world.
  • An in-depth presentation of the changelings, dwarves, elves, goblins, humans, and ogres of the setting.
