The Relic: First Guardian launches across PlayStation 5 and PC today with promised, continued future support

Following a day one patch, and with Project Cloud Games committed to additional improvements, fixes, and continued support, the Korean folklore-inspired ARPG is now available on PlayStation 5 and PC.

The Relic: First Guardian in numbers: 80 bosses. 70 passive effects. Six years in the making. Three huge regions to conquer. One dedicated development team.

[FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE] Friday, July 31st, 2026 – Perp Games and Project Cloud Games today unleashes its dark fantasy ARPG, The Relic: First Guardian, across PlayStation 5 and PC.

Since the launch, and with a day one patch already under its belt, Project Cloud Games will be working to provide additional patches, improvements, and continued support to both the PlayStation 5 and PC versions of the game for the foreseeable future, remaining dedicated to ensuring that work on The Relic: First Guardian will not stop at performance and technical fixes.

Now ready for all heroes to jump into this ambitious, debut title created by a small and passionate team, players can step into the role of The First Guardian entrusted to bring the once-peaceful land of Arsilthus back to its former glory by closing the Void.

The destruction of the great relic has seeped into the land, blighting the world around it and leaving a trail of loss and destruction in its wake. With tragic stories aching to be discovered and concluded, prepare to encounter 80 bosses - known as Brutals - inspired by Korean folklore and mythology that stand in the way of peace.

Project Cloud Games is purposefully and unapologetically challenging the established status quo, offering a unique, dark, and gritty spin on classic Korean stories, combat, and progression. A major achievement for the studio, The Relic First Guardian has lovingly been in the making for six years.

Key features include:

Fast-paced, brutal combat that challenges the status quo

  • Balancing action and vulnerability, face 80 unique Brutals, each with their own mechanics and lore

  • Freedom in attack and intensity in survival, stamina is reserved for defence and dodging, leaving you free to attack at will

  • 70 unique passive effects reshape skill behaviour, alter combat tempo, and enhance specific weapon styles

  • Skills operate on cooldowns, with no consumption of resources to balance and conquer every encounter

Every weapon and armour piece is a unique, story-rich artefact

  • Inherit the unique history and powerful story each weapon and armour set has lived through

  • Uncover hidden stories and claim new powers, armour, and weapons as you fight to close the Void and restore the land back to its former glory

A vast, semi-open world to explore

  • Three regions ache to be explored. Find bosses, dungeons, loot, and stories throughout your travels to tailor a build as unique as your playstyle

The Relic: First Guardian is available now on PlayStation 5 and PC for £44.99. The Night of Extinguished Flame digital DLC can be purchased for £8.99. Containing everything you need to start your adventure in Arsilthus on the front foot, players will receive an abundance of in-game currency and Relic Energy to equip skills straight from the get-go, plus upgrade materials that can be used by the Blacksmith to level up your gear.

The DLC also has an additional brutal dungeon to conquer, a unique relic, and a legendary exclusive weapon and armour set. (*Note that exchange rate fluctuations in the digital store may slightly affect your local pricing)

Physical collectors can pick up the boxed version from September 4th for an RRP of £44.99. Equipping you for the perilous journey ahead, it will be suited up with a physical map of Arsilthus and two DLC’s; The Night of the Unextinguished Flame and The Black Banquet DLC.
