Spy Video Game Rendezvous festival and direct press release

The Spy Video Game Rendezvous Steam festival and direct featuring the largest-ever collection of spy video games in one place is live now on Steam and YouTube

Developer Sunny Demeanor Games is proud to announce the first-ever Steam festival for spy video games, the Spy Video Games Rendezvous, is live now running May 23, 2025 - May 30, 2025 and bringing together over 30 spy-themed video games for the largest-ever collection of spy video games in one place.

The Spy Video Game Rendezvous is comprised of two components:

  1. The Spy Video Games Rendezvous festival on Steam. This festival contains 30+ spy video games and is live now, running May 23, 2025 - May 30, 2025.  Purchase discounted games, wishlist upcoming games, and play free demos in the Spy Video Game Rendezvous festival on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45263338/sale/SpyVideoGameRendezvous

  2. The Spy Video Games Rendezvous Direct.  The direct showcases trailers from various spy video games and constitutes a “State of the Union of spy video games.”  The 2025 SVGR Direct is live now on the Sunny Demeanor Games YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/OmzdWLCbzpE

This May 23rd - May 30th timing of the festival and direct coincides with Memorial Day weekend in the US, which is a time for saluting fallen heroes.  Being a spy is dangerous work, and when playing a spy video game, players are encouraged to “save the world or die trying.”  Memorial Day weekend 2025 also happens to coincide with the release of the newest Mission: Impossible film, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning.  As such, spy media is in the pop culture zeitgeist and it’s expected that players would be looking for spy video games to play at the moment.  May 28, 2025 also marks the 117th anniversary of the birth of Ian Fleming, creator of James Bond 007.

The Spy Video Games Rendezvous features a wide array of spy video games, from first-person shooters to puzzle games to visual novels to strategy games and more.  Some games feature realistic graphics, some have an N64 polygonal aesthetic harking back to the days of GoldenEye, some have cute cartoon graphics, and others are completely text-based.  You can play as a put-your-neck-on-the-line field agent, a desk-bound surveillance operative, a spymaster pulling the strings, a wizard, a dog, a raccoon, or even a wraith.

See what the wide world of spy video games contains in the Spy Video Game Rendezvous Steam festival and the Spy Video Games Rendezvous Direct, both live now.
