Sam Barlow (Immortality) and Keita Takahashi (Katamari) to Speak at Guadalindie 2025 the indie game fair of Southern Europe – Tickets Now on Sale

Guadalindie, independent video game fair in southern Europe, returns to Málaga, Spain with top-tier speakers, more than 80 exhibitors showcasing video games, and a dedicated networking area on May 16 and 17. Tickets are available starting at just €5.

February 6, 2025 – British game designer Sam Barlow, creator of Immortality, Telling Lies, and Her Story, and Japanese developer Keita Takahashi, known for the Katamari franchise and games like Noby Noby Boy and Wattam, are among the international speakers confirmed for the second edition of Guadalindie. This leading indie video game fair in southern Europe will take place on May 16 and 17 at FYCMA, Málaga, Spain. Guadalindie has announced that tickets are now available for purchase on its website.

Co-organized by the non-profit association MálagaJam and FYCMA (Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga), Guadalindie operates under the slogan "where video games flow." The event aims to be a meeting point for the video game community, bringing together professionals, developers, and attendees. With over 80 exhibitors showcasing video games, world-renowned speakers, and dedicated business and networking areas, Guadalindie is set to be an unmissable event.

Following the announcement of Takahashi and Barlow, here is the current lineup of confirmed guests at Guadalindie:

  • Sam Barlow – Director and creator of games such as Immortality, Telling Lies, and Her Story

  • Keita Takahashi – Creator of the Katamari franchise and games such as Noby Noby Boy, Wattam, and the upcoming To a T

  • Mark Brown – Video game developer and journalist, creator of Game Maker’s Toolkit

  • Paula Fingerspit – Music & SFX designer at Deconstructeam

  • Jan Willem – Founder of Vlambeer and creator of games like Nuclear Throne, Luftrausers, Minit, and Disc Room

  • Kitty Calis – Artist and developer who worked on Horizon: Zero Dawn, Minit, and Disc Room

  • Mirella Díez – Senior Audio Designer at ZA/UM

  • Afry Curiel – Senior Narrative Designer with experience at Nomada Studio, Ubisoft, and Splash Damage

The event has also announced the participation of Critical Reflex, the publisher behind indie hits such as Arctic Eggs, Mouthwashing, Threshold, and Buckshot Roulette. This marks the first confirmed publisher attending Guadalindie to explore local game development and potential business opportunities.

The revealed announcements so far represent approximately 25% of the total lineup of guests and publishers. In the coming weeks, Guadalindie will unveil more major national and international figures set to attend the fair.

The organization has also opened registration for exhibitors who wish to showcase their video games at the event.

Tickets Now on Sale

Tickets are now available for purchase on the Guadalindie website and through Enterticket. The professional pass is priced at €35, granting access to both Friday and Saturday, including exclusive entry to the business area. This ticket is designed for professionals, students, and anyone interested in video games and the event’s content.

Meanwhile, the general admission ticket for Saturday is affordably priced at €5, allowing the public to explore the exhibitors and meet the creators behind the featured video games.
