MEGA CAT STUDIOS CONFIRMS THEY ARE STILL ATTENDING PAX WEST

In the wake of several high-profile PAX pullouts, the low-profile creators of WrestleQuest confirm that they are still attending the Seattle event.

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON. – August. 31, 2022 – After a grueling 12-hour flight from their Pittsburgh, PA headquarters, Mega Cat Studios confirmed to the press today that they intend to stay in Seattle for the duration of PAX West. With luggage full of luchador masks, silk robes and wrestling boots, and a fresh build of WrestleQuest—the World’s First Pro Wrestling JRPG—the Mega Cat team is prepared to meet fans with controllers in hand.

“In the wake of so many massive changes in wrestling with Vince retiring, contracts expiring, and WOOOOOOO-pixel wrestlers profiling, we wanted to set the record straight,” Nate Flynn, Creative Director, said. “There should be no confusion among press or fans about whether or not we are attending. We will not be terminating any wrestling contracts, and all of our athletes are ready to engage fans at booth 1515 alongside the Skybound team.”

When asked how many people reached out to confirm if Mega Cat would maintain its longstanding presence at PAX West, Deighan replied, “Literally no one, but that’s okay.”

But the studio seems optimistic that fans new and old will appreciate the Mega Cat commitment to PAX attendees and to their wrestling fan pixel dream, WrestleQuest.

“We’ve put years of our lives into creating WrestleQuest, and James made it a term of employment that I had to attend these kinds of events,” says Zack Manko, Head of Studio, whom James met on Craigslist, for the purposes of this press release.
