LAST EPOCH SEASON 2 “TOMBS OF THE ERASED” ARRIVES ON APRIL 2ND

Biggest Update for Eleventh Hour Games’ Popular Action-RPG Sees Revamped Class, Fresh Content, New Gameplay Elements, Enhanced Endgame, and Quality-of-Life Improvements

SAN ANTONIO, TX – THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2025 – In case you missed it, Eleventh Hour Games, the indie studio behind the popular time-travel-themed Action-RPG Last Epoch, has released a new trailer and details about the game’s upcoming Season 2, Last Epoch: Tombs of the Erased, which is coming on April 2, 2025. The new season and biggest patch to date includes a new Faction, upgrades to the Monolith of Fate, new content, new features, and overall gameplay improvements.

The new season includes the introduction of the Weaver Faction, previously only known through namesake items. Season 2 fully realizes this new Faction and its influence. It includes the Weaver Faction Tree, allowing players to manipulate and augment their monolith timelines during endgame progression, greatly expanding the endgame and giving all players access to this faction regardless of their Factional alignments. This also introduces a new Echo type, Woven Echoes, which gives glimpses into the Weaver’s design and provides new rewards.

One of the most notable enhancements that returning players will appreciate is the new Mastery Re-specialization. The development team has previously been set in its decision that the player stick to their Mastery Specialization – formerly the only “permanent choice”, based on their selection upon reaching Level 20 for the remainder of the game. But, in line with Eleventh Hour’s commitment to listen to its community and create an ARPG that respects its players and their time, Mastery Specialization can now be changed at any time by visiting an in-game NPC versus having to start over with a new character.

As an additional response to player feedback, the Sentinel class has undergone significant retooling, removing several of the Sentinel’s limitations as compared to the other four classes. This update enhances the Sentinel’s skills, such as mobility and defenses, as well as its Passive Trees, changing the playstyle and improving the game’s overall play balance.

Along with the Weaver and Woven Echoes, new highlights of Last Epoch: Tombs of the Erased include Champion Enemies and Champion Affixes. Players will encounter this stronger, harder, and faster enemy type that potentially has exclusive affixes on their dropped items. Tombs and cemeteries are new areas to explore, and players must face new Endgame bosses, such as an Uber Aberroth Variant.

A great deal of time was invested in quality-of-life improvements that range from a new inventory tab system, WASD movement beta support, and dungeon improvements that include dungeon key charms which let you skip directly to the dungeon boss if you’ve already done the dungeon. Players will discover overall enhancements to the Last Epoch’s Endgame and crafting systems.

Last Epoch: Tombs of the Erased is available as a free upgrade to owners of Last Epoch Season 1. Having already sold over two million copies, Last Epoch is currently available in three versions: the Standard Edition at the original price of $34.99, the Deluxe Edition at $49.99, and the Ultimate Edition at $64.99. Those wishing to support the continued development of Last Epoch and gain cosmetic exclusives can purchase the existing Supporter Pack series ($19.99-$49.99 USD). A new Woven Supporter Pack series will be available at the launch of Season 2, starting at $9.99 USD.

Eleventh Hour Games attributes much of its success to its community and creator support. As such, they will again be celebrating the launch of Season 2 with a Twitch Drop campaign and “Support a Creator” feature. Players can earn rewards (up to 5) by watching participating creators play Last Epoch. Subscribing or gifting a subscription to your favorite creator earns players the 6th reward, an exclusive cosmetic item.
