Reno, NV -- April 4th, 2023 -- Independent game designer Wonderlust Games is announcing a 2.5D role-playing game (RPG) called Infinite Mana has just started its Kickstarter on April 3rd which will run until May 3rd. Set in the fantasy world of Arukea, players control the Wanderer, an amnesiac nobody who can bend reality to their will by “glitching” the world around them. They'll make friends, unlock 20 different Guises (classes) that can be utilized on the field, and immerse themselves in a world that is slowly tearing itself apart.
“I wanted to create a world that felt alive and filled with things that take the player off guard," said Hyd of Wonderlust Games. “A game with the look and heart of a Japanese RPG, but with the immersion and open world-feeling in a Western RPG, that's what Infinite Mana strives to be.”

The goal with Infinite Mana is to create an engaging and unique RPG that hearkens back to classic JRPGs while employing modern game design techniques. The world is large and there's so much to discover: with secrets around every corner, a battle system with many classes to play around with, and 'glitches' that transform the world around the player. You will bounce between 2.5D and 2D in classic game styles and be taken off guard when these glitches present themselves.
• A colorful pixel art style in 2.5D, set in a vast world, but with the ability to swap to 2D if you choose during gameplay (see above).
• Follow an engaging story with branching dialogue paths full of mystery, humor, and magick - or stray from the path and immerse yourself in the encyclopedic lore of the magickal world of Arukea.
• Challenge enemies in a classic battle system with a modern twist based on weaknesses and strengths with a variety of skills at your disposal. There are no random battles! You choose when to engage or run from enemies on the field.
• Explore a non-linear world where you use skills and tools like the hookshot to pass obstacles, hunt rare monsters, and gather materials to create equipment, items, and food.
• Unlock 20 Guises (classes) that grant your characters new skills and traits that can be used both in battle and on the field.
• Acquire skills through Guises and other means with a RPG proficiency system to pick pockets, learn languages, change the tide of conversation, find treasures, and more!
• Utilize the Glitch powers of the Wanderer to mend or break elements and even the denizens of Arukea. Imagine being inside a classic RPG and being able to tamper with the code while you play the game - that's Infinite Mana.
