Evercade Showcase Vol. 1 Announces Six New Collections for Evercade Including Sunsoft, Delphine, and Duke Nukem!

The Showcase debuted four new publishing partners and 29 new games across six cartridge collections - All available in 2023.

LETCHWORTH, UK: Blaze Entertainment has tonight announced multiple new cartridge collections for Evercade, and an expansion of the 2023 line-up. During the Evercade Showcase Vol.1 pre-recorded broadcast, six new collections were announced, bringing 29 more games and four new publishers to Evercade. In addition to this, a further 2 cartridges were added to the 2023 Roadmap and a second showcase, focusing on indie titles will broadcast in July 2023.
 
The Duke Nukem franchise is coming to Evercade, with six games featuring the iconic action character. Two cartridge collections featuring the iconic Duke Nukem 3D, console greats like Time to Kill and Land of the Babes, the impressive handheld game Duke Nukem Advance, and introducing Duke Nukem 1 + 2 Remastered. Developed by Blaze Entertainment from the ground up, the original games are bought up to modern standards with smooth scrolling, 60fps gameplay and more! To mark the occasion, Funstock is releasing an exclusive new version of the Evercade VS called the Atomic Edition. This Evercade VS is limited to 2000 units and comes in an atomic-themed design for the console and controllers, inspired by the action movies of the 80s and 90s. During the Evercade Showcase Vol. 1, four other Evercade collections were also announced.  

Releasing in August, two new great collections of a new modern retro franchise and hidden arcade gems. The Sydney Hunter Collection brings three of the great games in the Sydney Hunter franchise by CollectorVision Games. The adventure platformer games on this collection showcase the adaptability of the franchise with games from multiple systems like Sydney Hunter and the Caverns of Death and Sydney Hunter and the Sacred Tribe, Sydney Hunter and the Shrines of Peril,  and also includes the brand new dungeon crawler Jester.  

Releasing alongside this collection is a new collection of hidden arcade gems from Evercade favourite, PIKO Interactive. The PIKO Interactive Arcade 1 cartridge collection brings nine arcade games now owned by PIKO including a collection of games by Korean developer Unico, and two from Europe. Hidden gems to discover include the side scrolling The Legend of Silk Road, fighters like Dragon’s Fury, comical maze games like Burglar X and top down shooter Steel Force.
 
Both The Sydney Hunter Collection and PIKO Interactive Arcade 1 will release in August 2023 and are available to pre-order June 1st, 2023.
 
Coming in September 2023 are two collections from some of gaming’s greatest names.  

Blaze is bringing some of the most visually recognisable games ever made to Evercade systems with Delphine Software Collection 1. Four great games from the French publisher including their early cinematic point-and-click adventures for Amiga, the sci-fi story of Future Wars, and the spy thriller Operation Stealth. Alongside this is the Amiga version of the classic interdimensional platformer, Another World, and the console version of the classic platformer, Flashback.  

Also in September, Evercade brings back a well-loved Japanese publisher in Sunsoft Collection 1. Six great games from the early adaptation of their arcade hit Arabian and the sci-fi classic Journey to Silius are included in this first physical cart collection alongside the duo of Blaster Master and Blaster Master Boy, the 16-bit classic Aero the Acro-bat and the much-loved Mr. Gimmick!.
 
Both Delphine Software Collection 1 and Sunsoft Collection 1 will be available in September 2023 and available to pre-order in July 2023.  

In additional news, Evercade has announced that after a long wait, per-game button mapping is coming to Evercade VS and Evercade EXP systems. Having been in a publicly accessible beta since the start of May, the feature will be released in full this July and is installable via a firmware update. The beta is still available and will run until the release of the finalised version in July.
 
Evercade also announced that two extra carts will be coming in 2023, due to be released in October. These extra cartridges, alongside December’s line-up will be announced in the Evercade Showcase Vol. 2 which will be broadcast this July.

The Evercade EXP handheld gaming system is available globally and includes the IREM Arcade 1 cartridge collection and 18 built-in Capcom games.
 
The Evercade VS home console systems are currently available worldwide from Amazon and other local retailers.
 
Evercade devices play games via emulation on bespoke cartridges. There are currently 37 collections available and another 12 between now and February 2024.
 
Evercade emulates a wide range of systems (including 8, 16, 32-bit consoles, handhelds, THEC64 and Amiga home computers and arcade games), and also highlights modern retro games created by indie developers, with support for five decades of gaming.
 
Evercade cartridges have three distinct colour schemes to highlight their content. Red coloured boxes feature home console collections from multiple systems across five decades of gaming. Purple indicates Arcade game collections and Blue is for home computer collections.
