June 26, 2025 - Hooded Horse and Amplitude Studios are excited to reveal the fourth faction coming to ENDLESS Legend 2 when it releases into early access on August 7. The Last Lords fled their dying home planet of Auriga (the setting of ENDLESS Legend) and have come to Saiadha in search of a new home, bringing with them a terrible curse.
Once proud nobles and knights, the Last Lords suffer from an ancient curse that forces them to feed off others to survive, their souls trapped in hollow suits of armour. As beings of pure Dust, they do not consume food like other factions, and their population does not grow organically – you need to either spend resources to awaken more Last Lords, or invite others to work in your cities. After the exodus from Auriga, only a few awoke from their interstellar slumber, and players must harvest Dust in order to awaken more and seize their destiny – will they find a way to cure this vampiric affliction, or will they embrace their new nature?
Much like the Necrophage, the Last Lords will have a unique impact on Saiadha and its denizens. They can establish special estates in the villages of minor factions, either to tax them or to exploit the population to work in the cities. Alternatively, these factions can be drained of their life force to help resurrect more Last Lords, such as the powerful Primordials. Their armies are especially tough, and can feed off the chaos of the battlefield – every time a unit dies near a Last Lord unit, that unit will heal.
The Last Lords are resilient, but vulnerable in the early game – it’s only when the oceans start receding and more opportunities emerge to awaken those who still slumber will they be able to dominate Saiadha.
